Based in Lausanne, Bestmile offers highly optimized mobility services enabled by its Fleet Orchestration Platform. Recognizing the startup’s environmental impact, the Global Cleantech 100 award has awarded Bestmile the Company of the Year Award.
By 2050, more than 75 percent of the world’s population is expected to live in the largest metropolises. This will not only challenge the already strained roads and transit systems, but there will also be limited room for expansion and an increase in air pollution caused by fossil-fuel powered vehicles. The consequences include millions of premature deaths each year. For many cities, economic and environmental sustainability are at stake.
Among the top 100 companies is Bestmile from Switzerland, which additionally received the Company of the Year Award Europe. The award is bestowed onto the highest ranked company in Europe.
Bestmile was awarded for the highly optimized mobility services made possible by its Fleet Orchestration Platform. The platform enables mobility providers to move more people and goods with fewer vehicles to reduce the number of vehicles, kilometers-driven, and emissions by as much as 10-fold.
